Summary from Book: The votes are in!
The new mayor is…
A dog?
Mayor Good Boy is ready to make change! With foes around every corner trying to ruin his campaign of fun, will he still enjoy a future full of belly rubs?
Note: This review is done from memory. I originally read this awhile ago.
Page Pig Thoughts: Abby and Aaron work to help Mayor Good Boy overcome the man behind a group that is against a dog being mayor. Abby finds her self confidence and Aaron uses some of his gross little brother traits to save the day. This was a decent story of being active helping out law makers. The characters were cute, but the drama of the town being overrun by fleas made me a bit itchy. I wasn’t quite sure how Mayor Good Boy was going to get much done if he continued napping on the job, but thankfully the cheese bribes never led to him doing anything bad for the sake of getting cheese.
Page Pup gives this one a thumbs up, but I was a little lukewarm on it. If your kid likes the idea of a dog being mayor, then maybe Mayor Good Boy is worth a try.
Family Unit: Abby and her little brother, Aaron, live with their mother and father
