Note: This review is done from memory. I originally read this awhile ago.
Page Pig Thoughts: Cranky Chicken and Speedy are a sweet pair. I love that a little act of crankiness by Chicken turns out to be a moment that Speedy sees him as a superhero. What was this cranky/brave moment? Chicken kicked a leaf because it was in his way. While Chicken isn’t quite sure how to be friends with Speedy, he also finds a way to fulfill Speedy’s dream of flying through the air. The crankiness and happy exuberance make a sweet story of togetherness making us stronger.
Page Pup gives this a thumb up.
