Summary from Book: Kitty and Puppy are Out of Control!
They’ve been screaming, hissing, and fighting all over the house, and their owners have finally had enough. It’s time for school. . . obedience school! Will Kitty ever learn to be a buddy, not a bully?
Note: This review is done from memory. I originally read this awhile ago.
Page Pig Thoughts: This one was amusing enough. Page Pup was really enjoying these, so I think that I went in with high expectations. The story had its humorous points. While the art style isn’t my favorite, I did not find it overly distracting. Page Pup has read several of these and I am not opposed to reading another.
Family Unit: Kitty and Puppy live in a house with a human baby and human mother.
Items of Interest:
- Kitty and Puppy are chasing and fighting after Kitty was woken from a nap by Puppy drooling on him. Baby falls over a ball and Kitty gets blamed. Kitty and Puppy get sent to school with new backpacks and accessories. Kitty needs to work on her attitude and Puppy needs to work on a drooling problem.
- School looked rather ominous with a scary building, the name of “Diabla Von Gloom’s School for Wayward Pets,” and an ominous shadow on the wall, but it turns out to be just fine. Miss Gloom is nice, not gloomy.
- Uncle Murray’s Fun Facts are included a few times in the story. These have some nonfiction information about the characters (dogs and cats) being discussed in the story.
- Evil supervillain bunny learns not to interrupt and ask nicely.
- The bulldog that hates cats but can’t actually identify a cat was rather amusing.
